Description
This is a large roomy poncho, knitted in soft alpaca and silk-mohair for a cosy feel for mother and baby. It features a high roll-down neck and ribbed cuffs at end of each “sleeve”.
In the front, there’s knitted an opening for a child in a baby carrier (the model here is using a carrier from “Baby Bjørn”)
The baby hat is knitted in the same yarn and pattern. Finished off with a rolling edge and cords with tassels.
This pattern combines the old Faroese motifs “Krúnan, Gásareygað and Puntarnir” (crown, goose eye and squares)
